EM-Design,Calculus and Mechanical Simulation

The  Design, Calculus and Mechanical Simulation Group (EM) is resposable the doctoral program in Mechanical Engineering and Masters courses, postgraduate and specialization. Actively involved in technology transfer by signing partnership agreements with public and private companies, among which mention may be made to the design of machines Relativity and advice for its construction. Some of them have resulted in patents. They have also won the 1st prize of technology transfer for the project Social Council SRIC: vehicle inspection and repair of pipelines.

National and International Projects Experience

EM has received a grant for research groups (R & D) and participates in the Mobile Robot Reference Center on advanced manufacturing techniques. In addition, we have been awarded various projects ALFA in the field of vibroacoustic related: vibration and vehicle dynamics in rail transport and nonlinear acoustics. Within the same field, has participated in Hispano-French Integrated Actions.

Some of our projects

The LEAM working on the acoustic impact of infrastructure such as roads, rail infrastructure, airport infrastructure (airports, heliports, etc.).. From in situ measurements, validating the computer model by which the study is conducted in the affected area. From this validation study is the most appropriate corrective measures provided to decrease the affected area, or where appropriate, reduce the affected population in collaboration with environmental consultants, governments and others.

LEAM is currently working on developing and modeling the propagation of vibrations at different source-receiver configurations and different types of terrain, in order to define a systematic estimate of the impact of the vibrations of infrastructure.
